My wife and friends first thought I was crazy to buy a pair of glasses with varifocal lens off the Internet. When almost year ago I decided to buy new glasses I have spent days looking for a proper frame. When I finally find one ( and come to terms with the "horrible" price) I was told then they can not glaze them for me because they do not have long enough screws. I am not gone tell you where it was.
I have turned to the internet. Almost first website I got into was the spectacles.gb. What a pleasant surprise. Not only frames I liked were half priced, but also I had a problem to stick with them because of the vaste choice of excellent frames. Choice of lenses was also spectacular.

Thanks for the coffee!!I have to somehow justify all the 'other crazies' that thought me (of all people) to be crazy driving all the way to Rayleigh for glasses.
Well I can truly state without question that it is more than worthwhile to travel such a short distance (135 miles round trip) for what has been a first class service from you with a technical knowledge which it is obviously impossible to rival having spent almost a month picking the brains of every high street optician I could find and at least one extra who was off all the beaten tracks, until finally I took the plunge.
As you know the glasses arrived on Monday the 2nd.of June 2003 and I put them on acclimatising to them within about 3-4 hours. I have driven on motorways and unlit country roads at night and during the day without the slightest problem. I do think that to put anyones mind at rest they should do their research and only then make the trip to you by which time they will have an idea of! what it is all about and realise that although the coffee is welcome the glasses are amazing.
Anyone reading this should be made aware that my prescription was a particularly complicated order to fulfill. Add to this the fact that I am not an easy customer being a bit of a fussy person, all of which Freddie took in his stride with humor and humility.

Many thanks for my new glasses which I got on Saturday. I love them, they're so small and light compared to my previous pair. Almost as good as not wearing any at all. Glasses have certainly moved on since I got my last pair - nearly ten years ago! Everyone who's seen them thinks they're just great, including my husband, so naturally I'm very pleased about that too. I may even decide to buy another pair, just in case anything happens to these as I couldn't bear to have to wear my old ones even for one more day.

I took an eye test after getting some eye strain from working on a PC. The optitian gave me a mild prescription of +0.5 / +0.5. Not having worn glasses before I tried some on in the shop, a basic pair were not far from £100 with coatings, the rimless ones I liked were nearer £300. I had a quick search on the internet and found this site. A lot of frames to choose from, but I found some similar to the high street ones for £25. Entering details was straightforward, and a few days later I received them well packaged and in a smart case as well.
I have recommended this site to my friends who can't believe I got a pair of decent glasses so easily.

Thanks, I have received the new glasses in perfect condition. They do need a little adjustment as the nose pads currently dig into my nose a bit, unfortunately the couple of opticians I tried will not adjust them for fear of being liable if they break. Apparently they are more concerned because they are rimless frames. As you know I am in South West London, do you know of any opticians nearby who would be happy to adjust them?
